Bug Smasher

Bug Smasher Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated November 1, 2026

The short version

  • No account. Your best scores and settings are saved on your device.
  • Free players see ads from Google AdMob. You can play with ads that aren’t personalized.
  • Leaderboards, achievements, and the Remove Ads purchase are handled by Apple on iPhone and iPad and by Google on Android. We never see your payment details.
  • We don’t run our own analytics and we never sell your information.

1. Who we are

Bug Smasher is made by TurboCycle Media, LLC (“we,” “us”), an Arizona limited liability company based in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy covers the Bug Smasher app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Our website has its own privacy policy.

2. What stays on your device

Bug Smasher saves a few things on your device: your best score in Arcade and in Zen, how far you’ve got through the levels, your achievement progress, the sound and appearance settings, whether you’ve bought Remove Ads, and a count of games played so it knows when to ask for a rating on the App Store or Google Play. This information isn’t sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

3. Ads

Bug Smasher is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the screen and an occasional full-screen ad between games. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information such as your device’s IP address, device and operating system type, app version, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. Google’s use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Consent: where the law requires it, such as in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Bug Smasher shows Google’s consent form before any ads load, and you can choose not to have ads personalized. You can change your choice later from the app’s privacy options.
  • iPhone and iPad: Bug Smasher asks for permission before Google can use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). If you choose “Ask App Not to Track,” the identifier isn’t shared and you’ll still see ads, just less tailored ones.
  • Android: Google uses your device’s advertising ID to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete it in your device settings, and you’ll still see ads, just less tailored ones.
  • Remove Ads: buying Remove Ads turns off the banner and the between-game ads for good.

4. Game Center and Google Play Games

iPhone and iPad: if you’re signed in to Game Center, Bug Smasher reports your Arcade and Zen scores and your achievements to Apple so they appear on the leaderboards and to the friends you play with. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and you control it in Settings → Game Center. We don’t receive your Apple Account details.

Android: if you sign in to Google Play Games, Bug Smasher reports your Arcade and Zen scores and your achievements to Google so they appear on the leaderboards and in your Play Games profile. Google Play Games is run by Google under the Google Privacy Policy, and you control your profile and its visibility in the Google Play Games app. We don’t receive your Google Account details.

Bug Smasher works fully without either one.

5. Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time purchase made through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, or Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment; Bug Smasher only learns whether you own it so it can turn ads off. We never see your name, card, or billing address. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and by Google Play from your order history.

6. What we don’t collect

Bug Smasher doesn’t have accounts and doesn’t ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location. We don’t run our own analytics or crash reporting in the app, we don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising beyond the ads described above.

7. Your choices

  • On iPhone and iPad, change tracking permission any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • On Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads on some devices).
  • Where Google’s consent form applies, such as in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, change your ad choices any time with Privacy Choices on the app’s About screen.
  • Buy Remove Ads to stop seeing ads in the app.
  • Sign out of Game Center, or hide your profile, in Settings → Game Center on iPhone and iPad.
  • Manage or delete your Play Games profile in the Google Play Games app on Android.
  • Delete the app to remove everything Bug Smasher saved on your device.

If you have questions about information Google or Apple hold, contact them through the links above. For anything else, contact us.

8. Children

Bug Smasher is a general audience game and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we’ll help.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bug Smasher or the law changes. We’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
